InPore selected as Accelerate Michigan semi-finalist

InPore Technologies, a producer of unique additives for water filtration membrane applications based in Lansing, MI, has been selected as a semi-finalist in the Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition. The Michigan State University spin off company was formed in 2010 to commercialize mesoporous materials technology invented by University Distinguished Professor of Chemistry Thomas Pinnavaia.

InPore wins two NSF SBIRs

InPore Technologies, a Lansing, MI-based producer of unique additives for plastics applications, has recently been awarded two NSF SBIR grants of $150,000 each to develop application and research data for two target markets: water filtration membranes and flame retardant polymers. The Michigan State University spin off company was formed in 2010 to commercialize mesoporous materials technology invented by University Distinguished Professor of Chemistry Thomas Pinnavaia.

InPore Presents at the 2012 AIChE Spring Meeting

InPore Technologies’ Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Gerald Roston, will present at the Spring Meeting of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, to be held in Houston, TX from April 1-5, 2012. Roston was invited, by NSF Program Director Prakash Balan, to participate on the wrap-up panel session of the NSF Small Business Innovation Showcase.

InPore Presents at ACS Annual Meeting

InPore Technologies’ Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Gerald Roston, will present at the 242nd American Chemical Society (ACS) National Meeting and Exposition, to be held in Denver, CO from August 28 - September 1, 2011. Roston was invited to present Maximizing the Likelihood of University Spinout Success by the program chair of the ACS’ Division of Small Chemical Business.

Dr. Thomas Pinnavaia, CSO of InPore Technologies and Distinguised Professor of Chemistry at Michigan State University presented timely new data on Silapore™ mesoporous silicate particles for flame retardance in plastics to the BCC 22nd Annual Recent Advances in Flame Retardancy of Polymeric Materials and the AMI Fire Retardants Plastics 2011 held in Stamford, CT and Denver, CO respectively.

InPore Presents at BCC FR Conference

InPore Technologies’ Chief Science Officer, Dr. Thomas Pinnavaia, will present at the BCC Research-hosted 22nd Annual Conference on Recent Advances in Flame Retardancy of Polymers in Stamford, CT, on May 24 & 25, 2011.  Pinnavaia will present recent data on the development of mesoporous silicate particles as a char forming flame retardant material.

InPore Presents at MGCS
